Pool environments destroy standard specifications
Chlorinated humid air attacks aluminium finishes, sealants and unit edge seals. Marine-grade coatings and pool-rated sealants are essential, not optional.
Crowd loading on barriers
Spectator and assembly areas take 1.5 or 3.0 kN/m rather than the 0.74 kN/m of an office landing. That changes glass thickness, fixing and handrail entirely.
Impact in gym environments
Dropped weights and equipment strike glass. Laminated throughout, with a physical standoff between the glass and any free-weight area.
Condensation control
Warm humid air against cold glass produces persistent condensation. Better thermal performance and considered air movement fix it; wiping it down does not.
